    Giro d'Italia 2008 stage 16 time trial San Vigilio di Marebbe - Plan de Corones              
                 
   
   
    Race leader Alberto Contador pushing the pedals hard on the steep Passo Furcia towards the ancient dirt roads of Plan de Corones. Another excellent performance of the Spaniard finishing in 4th place retaining the lead in GC.    
    The Furcia-climb just outside San Vigilio di Marebbe only 4 miles long proved to be much tougher then the climb to Plan de Corones. Pics are made with a Nikon D200 slr. camera attached to a Nikkor 500mm/F4.0 lens.
