    The main group with race leader Paolo Savoldelli, Gilberto Simoni and Danilo di Luca nearing the snow-covered summit of the Passo dello Stelvio. With its 48 turns one of the most impressive climbs in the Italian Alps.    
    The climb was prohibitid for cars so I had to make a 10-mile trip by foot but it was well-worth the effort. Excellent pictures in a perfect scenery!
