    The main field at the Col Bagargui. Race leader Lance Armstrong well-protected by his teammates George Hincapie and Manuel Beltran. Fiercest rival Jan Ullrich also at the front row.    
    The extremely steep Col Bagargui with it's 1 in 6 gradients never lived up to the expectations. I made these photos with professional Nikon gear.
